Monday morning

Once, a friend of mine sent me a text saying "The wisest decision you can make today is to get up in a good mood". This seems particularly relevant on Mondays, start the week well and all that.
Monday has often had a bad press "I don't like Mondays" sang the Boomtown rats in 1979,
"I don't care if Monday's blue" sang the Cure.
When we were young Monday was typically "washing day". We sang a song at school that started ,-
"T'was on a Monday morning.
When I beheld my darling
She looked so neat and charming
In every high degree,
She looked so neat and nimble o
A washing of her linen o
Dashing away with the smoothing iron
Dashing away with the smoothing iron
She stole my heart away .

The last verse said that t'was on a Sunday when she looked so neat and nimble o, a wearing of her linen o.
Now we can just put on the washing machine whenever we want to but once the whole process from washing to wearing was quite long.
