My favourite French words

There are lots of French words and expressions that hold an exotic magical appeal for me. Just hearing French being spoken makes me feel I'm on holiday. The signs at the side of the road saying  Cerises, Pêches,abricots, are so inviting. Even melon which is just the same sounds more exotic. My French isn't all that good but I love listening to the sounds. Joie de vivre, chic,bonheur,entente cordiale,plat du jour, these are just some of the ones I saw today.
