In English we have a saying
blue and green should never be seen. This is usually applied to clothes. Don't wear a blue jumper with a green skirt for example. I don't know where this saying comes from but looking around me today I thought that blue and green are a winning combination. Just looking at the green trees against the blue of the sea and the sky was pure delight.
It also made me remember a song from Rainbow, you the one ? George Zippy and Bungle caused helpless laughter in my house. George is a pink hippopotamus and he sings the song that goes like this
Oranges are orange
They make a lovely drink
The grass is green
And the sky is blue
